Certified in Early Childhood Education, with twelve years of teaching experience, Carla has worked in both a Waldorf school and in the public school system. She has taught children from Kindergarten to third grade, as well as directed a Waldorf summer camp for 2 and 3-year-olds. She holds a state certification in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). She is currently obtaining her Masters in Educational Leadership with a focus on Curriculum Development at Georgia State University. As a parent, Carla was inspired to provide a holistic Nature and Spanish environment for her daughter, and founded Primavera as a Mother’s Morning Out program in 2011 with Co-Founder Julia Weidmann. She is passionate about creating curriculum that encompasses the outdoors, service and celebrating culture and diversity in an educational setting. Born in Mexico City, Carla has an affinity for language and culture. Carla and her husband Jason live in Candler Park with their daughter Harper, born July 2010, and son Sims, born October 2012.
