Misty earned her Dual BS degree from Penn State University, specializing in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. She has vast experience across many teaching programs. She traveled to Angola, Africa where she worked with a Preschool and Teacher Training College and Orphanage leading sustainability and mentorship projects. In Philadelphia, Misty served as a director at a Day Care Center and went on to spend 5 years as Youth Program Coordinator for Norwegian Cruise Line, where she developed programs for children of passengers. Misty then taught English to 3rd graders at an accredited private school in Colombia, South America before moving to Atlanta. Here, she worked as Lead Teacher at Inman Park Cooperative Preschool while creating and running a summer Spanish camp at Piedmont Park. Misty’s lifelong love of the outdoors, cultural exchanges and languages brought her to Primavera, where she serves as Co-Director and Lead Multi-Age Teacher. Misty speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese.
